Bethlehem Central High School’s Mental Health & Substance Use Awareness Event

Announcement: Wellness Month Awareness Day at Bethlehem High School

Bethlehem High School in Delmar is proud to host a special event as part of Wellness Month. This event culminates in an impactful Awareness Day on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Organized with Mission for Marcus, the event will run from 8:00 AM to approximately 2:00 PM. It will feature activities and discussions. These are aimed at fostering community education and support.

At 9:00 AM, students and faculty will have the unique opportunity to hear from Laura Stack, Founder and CEO of Johnny’s Ambassadors. Laura will share her deeply personal story of losing her son, Johnny, to suicide following his addiction to high-potency marijuana concentrates. Her presentation will focus on educating parents, teens, and communities about the dangers of high-THC marijuana on adolescent brain development, psychosis, and suicide. Laura’s mission is to raise awareness and provide critical information to help families navigate these challenges.

Throughout the week leading up to the main event, Bethlehem High School will host additional activities to promote wellness and substance abuse prevention. Mission for Marcus is committed to proactive education. It focuses on stigma reduction. This ensures that every student feels seen, supported, and empowered.
